A little bit about me...
I am an effective multi-tasker. In my nearly 10 years as a senior program manager at a local DMC, I planned multi-day conferences, incentive trips, meetings, galas and awards dinners for various local, national and international companies, associations and government departments. As such, my daily tasks encompassed proposal writing, transportation logistics, online registration management, décor sourcing, entertainment booking, food and beverage management, budgeting, accounting, coordination of excursions both small and large, contract negotiations, and on-site event management, often with overlapping deadlines.
I am a disciplined communicator. Often being the main contact person between clients and vendors, excellent communication skills are not only key, but they are critical to the success of any event or project. I have always strived to be informative, yet concise in my communications, making sure I have a complete understanding of what is required and any issues that may present themselves while corresponding with clients and vendors.
I am a passionate problem solver. Expect the unexpected - this I have come to learn over my career in event management. There is almost always a creative solution to any problem and with some creative thinking, one can almost always end up with a satisfied client, even when things didn’t go exactly according to plan.
